I bought this book as an impulse buy. I had no idea what it was about. Upon starting the book, I realised it was a young adult book - but enjoyed it immensely. Not quite in the Philip Pullman league - YET! But as a first book by Karen Wright, it offers amazing potential.
The book unfolds beautifully, with well rounded characters and kept my daughter and I enchanted throughout. It's difficult to say anymore without giving too much away.
I'm just looking forward to the sequels!!! |
